Flash Sale 🥰 Vintage Table | Steak Fork And Knife Set Forged Carbon Steel & Coin Silver (?) German ? Late 19th C ✔️

A charming boxed silverware set, the spoon has been separated or poached (possibly for resale value of its silver). But the fork and knife remain all be it as a little bit of a mystery. The fork has a very 19th C German design to it, it and the knife look to have been drop forged putting it post 1870’s. I cannot make out the small square silvermarks in all honesty, these would be the key to their origen.

The fitted box echoes some of the motifs on the handles, the hand painted relief design is great. 

 Like all other culinary knives this should never go in the dishwasher, fork and knife handles like this will come loose with high heat (dishwasher, stove top etc), carbon steel can rust if left wet or dirty, expect a patina to form with use.
