Antique hand forged bayonet carving fork with steel ferrule and stag grips. No marks and an interesting style of manufacture. The ferrule made from a sheet of steel brazed or forge welded suggests 19th century manufacture as does the hand forged decorative neck of the fork. Tines are essentially straight but do show irregularities that are consistant with a hand forged fork.
English? American?
tines are 5.5″ from inside of fork, 12″ overall length 6.7 oz
